What I have ignored because I couldn’t see it with my eyes is now clearly recognized by quantum physicists around the world who are working together with psychologists, healers, shamans, psychics and remote viewers in rigorously controlled studies. They are proving that the ocean of energy we live in, referred to as “THE FIELD” by today’s science is proving to be the space that connects us all to each other, rather than the space that separates us from each other. Science is proving that no matter what we do or think or feel, we are affecting “THE FIELD” in which we all exist, because the energy of our thoughts feelings and actions knows no boundaries. We are not self contained little units; we are part of the whole of our world.

This is no longer conjecture, but it is a scientific fact that every cell in our body is like a little bitty cell phone sending and receiving the signals of every being and everything around us. One difference that we as humans have from other life forms is our ability to alter the energy we are transmitting with our thoughts, our consciousness. This understanding, which is somewhat new to those of us in the west, but known for centuries in many cultures, puts us on the precipice for conscious evolution and change. Many of us are experiencing upheavals in our lives. From finance, to health, to work and living situations, to catastrophic weather and war, our world is showing us that the way we have been living and thinking is no longer congruent with our spiritual essence or with  life on our planet.

As science is showing us, we are not separate from each other and the time of believing we are is coming to an end. Many of us are beginning to relearn that our connection with each other, our compassion for each other, our openness to our great variety and our sharing of the great abundance available on our planet, are the ways of thinking and feeling that create a thriving existence for all of us.

We have an insanely abundant stage set for us and we are the creators for lives. As we become more grateful for this opportunity and more aware of the importance our contribution to the whole of life, we can excitedly look forward to the peaceful, full and joyful lives that we have the ability and responsibility to foster. It is time to let the fear of all these changes fall to openness for the rising love and compassion that is foundational for our thriving future.

We have the ability within each of us to open up to our moment of peace. Once you experience and know this feeling, it is possible to remember and call it back like you do when you think of a loved one or a beloved pet or the spectacular ocean sunset you once saw. I believe this inner peace is the key to a sustainable healthy future for us all.

EFT: THE EMOTIOANL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE:
There are so many ways one can step toward your moment, then life of peace. (Many of these tools and techniques are listed on my Law of Attraction, Affirmation and Podcast websites.) We each come to this in our own way. The most effective, quickest and in my mind most logical way I have found is EFT, the Emotional Freedom Technique. Current science is now supporting what original cultures around the world have known for centuries; our wellbeing and health is driven by our energy system and hampered by blocks in the flow of our energy.

EFT uses acupressure in combination with focusing on issues to release the blocks that restrict our energy flow. These blocks are often caused by traumatic or overwhelming experiences. As you release blocks your mind quiets, your body relaxes and you start to feel more and more moments of peace. (You can find much more detail on the physiology of how EFT works on my EFT website.)

The inner peace movement has already begun. There are hundreds of thousands and growing steadily, who are stepping toward their own inner peace, knowing that any change in our global future begins inside. Gandhi’s timeless suggestion, “Be the change you want to see in the world”, is never more important than it is right now. We are on the eve of human evolution and transformation as we recognize that we truly are a global community.

Each new person finding inner peace adds another link to the web of compassion, acceptance, respect and support for each and every being on the planet. This growing “web of peace” is vital for each of us and for our planet as we recognize our own place in this phenomenal global community.

All of my loved ones in spirit live very clearly in my memories and in my heart with the love I felt for them and them for me. Even in the deepest of loss, this does not die, unless we choose to forget. At times I have even struggled with my family is spirit as if they were standing next to me, running the past and regrets in my mind. One can contract in resistance and fear with loss at your loved ones passing, or choose to open, expand and nourish yourself by allowing the love to live brightly within. Imagine the greater universe they have just entered and realize we all have the opportunity to share in the greater multi-dimensional world of spirit and physicality.

I’d also like to share my new mantra, good for any occasion of interpersonal interaction and for grounding myself in non-judgment:  I share equally in your goodness and your Godness.

A vision for our future:

Neuroscience is confirming what many have suspected for a very long time. Ours is a social brain. When we are not focused on a specific task, 80% of what our brain is up to is figuring out relationships — who we are relative to our community. We are pack animals. And “belonging” is critical to our well-being. The absence of social connections is now understood to be on a par with cigarette smoking and bad genes when it comes to dying early.

Neuroscience has also confirmed that being needed by others produces powerful chemicals in our bodies that lead to a sense of well-being. It extends our lives by years. In my vision for our future, we will understand that giving back to the community is not only good for us in a moral sense, but good for us in a physiological sense. Our brains will evolve at an accelerated pace towards cooperative and generous living. We will give back to stay well. The myth that humans are, by their nature, selfish, will be replaced by the facts in the same way that the myth that cigarette smoking was harmless was replaced by the facts. Long over-due, our “thinking” brains pull off another unexpected surprise — if we want to stay healthy, we need to be needed.

From this vantage point, it is easier for me to believe that one day most corporations will have a sense of responsibility to the larger community and, in turn, pollute less. They will increasingly develop compensation practices that are fair and balanced. Politicians will, for the most part, serve with honor and integrity. The voters will insist upon it regardless of party affiliation. And citizens will practice citizenship with a sense of civility and pride. All of this because it is good for the body. The closest thing to a miracle drug yet.

This is our first entry to this project of creating new visions for our world, generously provided by Jordan Gray.

We are on the threshold of a modern golden age.

Many seekers hear the golden age calling, and there is a growing fascination with creating the personal and global reality of our dreams. As we consciously create our personal reality, we influence the global reality.

I picture a time when people value life such that we gladly negotiate solutions to conflict without resorting to violence or force.

I dream of the day when every nation signs a peace treaty with the other nations of the world. Creating world peace is a challenge that calls to us, and many have already taken up the banner.

Global peace begins within you.

It would be a boring world if we all followed one government, practiced the same beliefs and shared the same culture. The modern golden age is not about creating a monotonous world lacking variety. In the golden age we joyfully celebrate diversity.

Starvation and poverty vanish in the golden age. People turn away from hording wealth and resources so that every person has comfortable shelter and plenty to eat. I envision a time when our natural resources are replenished as the Earth is nurtured by loving stewards. All life forms will be equally valued.

I envision a society that gladly meets the needs of all people. I dream of a new financial system that is far more advanced than any type of economy yet created – a true quantum leap in monetary methods.

I imagine that if everyone has everything they need and want crime will vanish. The idea of taking something from someone else evaporates if you already have everything you want. Furthermore, in the golden age each person feels loved and respected, and we are committed to resolving differences without resorting to violence or force.

Humans will continue to experience the full range of emotions. However, our ability to cope with aggressive feelings, our shadow side, will be clearly understood. As we develop our understanding of emotions and our ability to express them fully, without judgment or shame, we will see a great shift in health and happiness. I dream of a time when the vast majority of people enjoy abundant wellbeing.

How do we collectively transcend our fear based reality? It begins with you. Surely we find what we seek. Our ability to make change begins with realizing our creative power as explained in Joshua’s book, The Seventh Major Understanding – A Message of Awakening.

We don’t need to know all the answers about how to manifest a golden age right now.

As we imagine a new way of life unfolding, and set intentions for a peaceful and abundant world – the path forward will appear. As our collective fear based thinking melts away, the answers will come to light.

If you are inspired to look for solutions to our problems, act on your inspiration. You may be one of the people living now for the purpose of developing the path into the golden age. If, however, you are thinking that such global changes are impossible, please release this belief. Be open to ideas that build a peaceful and abundant world – now. .

I invite you to join me in creating visions of life in a golden age. Your personal awakening is necessary for our global transformation.

The golden age is not about acting like sheep. Transformation requires courage. In the golden age fear will cease to direct our actions. And what will replace fear as our director? Love, trust and understanding will lead us into a new way of life.

Creating a golden age in the modern world is calling to us now — in fact it already exists. The 7th Major Understanding explains the nature of time and probable realities, and you will come to realize that the current reality is broadcast on channel two. The modern golden age is being broadcast on channel One. All we need to do is change the channel.

What I have had a hard time with is the faith aspect of prayer, because I have as most who attempt prayer, prayed for things that did not come about as I had asked. Also, It was my assumption that the strength of one’s prayer is based in the strength of your faith in God or Source of our life force and spirit, who or whatever that might be. Amazingly, these days, there are scientific studies proving the power of prayer that bolster my faith in its effectiveness. It is a scientifically proven fact that everything, physical matter and non-material items, such as thoughts and feelings are energy. As there are microscopes that can peer into the quantum space of matter, scientists now have instruments that measure the energy type and level of thoughts and feelings. It is also a scientifically proven fact that the heart is the most powerful magnetic energy producer in the body.  There are instruments that measure this as well.  Experiments have been done that show that a person who prays or sends love to someone they love, is felt by the receiver even when the receiver does not know when those thoughts and feelings are being sent. The machine the receiver was hooked up to registered the energy at the time the sender sent it.

There were also a series of experiments done by a man named Masaru Emoto and published in his book, The Hidden Messages of Water, on the effects of thoughts and feelings on water. He had people project various thoughts and feelings onto water, then he froze the water. The types of crystals that formed varied widely with the types of emotions projected. The crystals that had negative types of thoughts, feelings or heavy metal music for example projected on them where unorganized or jagged. The water that was blessed, had a variety of positive emotions or classical music projected onto them formed beautifully structured organized crystals. His many experiments have shown conclusively that our thoughts and emotions have a definite effect on water. Since 70 percent of our body is water we can extrapolate that what we think and feel does indeed have an effect on our body.

Recently, I heard a man named Dr. Larry Dossey who has written many books on this subject, say that in the many studies that have been done on the power of prayer, it is shown that it makes no difference what your religious or spiritual affiliation is or who you are praying to. In fact Buddhists do not pray to a deity at all and their prayers are proven to be just as effective as those who pray to a God, be they Christian, Jewish, Muslim, etc. The other thing he said that really made this prayer thing more accessible to me was that its power and effectiveness was shown not to come from the strength of one’s faith, but in the strength of your love for the person you are praying for.

This made sense to me because though I don’t always feel strong faith in creating the outcome I desire for myself or others, I can almost always bring the feeling of love into my heart when I think of certain loved ones, pets or places.  This idea that all I need to do to give a prayer of healing for a friend is to fill my heart with love for them, this is something I can definitely do. So for all you who know and love our dear friend Marcy, bring to mind that love, feel all the love and appreciation you have for her and send it her way. In this action, even if only for a few minutes a day, we bring healing into our world.

Share our planet with all life.

 Yesterday  morning as I was meditating I got the idea that if we all paused and set an intention to ask our Mother Earth to cut off the oil supply deep in the earth from where it is leaking in the gulf that our collective thought and feeling for this to occur would make it happen. There is a website and group who have done a number of “intention experiments” and who have collected data on the effectiveness of group intention on our world. It is my belief that these collective intention experiments and group intentions set by others for world peace do have an effect on our world.

So right after I got the idea about intending for the flow of oil to stop and emailed a woman I know who has a very popular podcast and who has also organized group intentions. I asked her to announce it on her podcast. The moment I sent that email to her, I got one from The Intention Experiment website announcing the newest intention, set for this Sunday.

I am asking all my friends to please set some time this Sunday to join this global intention to stop that leak.

I am asking for us all to ask our Great Mother Earth who supports us and loves us so forgivingly even through all we have done to her, to direct her enormous power and love to stopping that flow of oil from deep within. Let’s give our intention of support to our Earth and send back to her some of that love she gives us in every moment by supporting human life on this planet. Let’s give all of our intention to the healing of this rupture and a miraculously quick containment and cleanup.

Yesterday I also put up a facebook message about the Global Intention taking place today at 10am Pacific time, to stop the flow of oil into the gulf. I’m hoping that more people read and thought about this than responded. We have the capacity to lend support to this effort of stopping the oil leak from where we sit in our comfortable homes. We have prayer and hope and faith and consciousness and we can give back to our Earth by remembering and acknowledging how good this Earth is to us and thanking and appreciating her. We can give back to her by sending to her in prayer or by conscious intention our vision that she is healed from this wound we have made. We give power to our prayers and intention by also sending her all the love in our hearts.

So please, take a moment today and support our Earth’s amazing capacity for healing and regeneration and give her your love and appreciation as you imaging her beauty and purity restored in the gulf and every area on the planet where we have caused injury to her and to ourselves as a result. Join your brothers and sisters across the planet in this global effort in correcting and healing this very large mistake. Please pass this on to everyone you know. I don’t believe the 10am timing of this intention is crucial, I believe giving our hearts and thoughts whenever we can is.

Quite a while ago I quit watching the news, because I found it upsetting and sensational and I really didn’t want to see all bad things we do to each other that the media is so fond of sharing on every newscast. My thinking was also that if there was something I needed to know about, I would hear about it and that has proved to be true. For thousands of years people only knew about what was happening in their little corner of the world and that was really okay.

Yesterday I heard about the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and I kept worrying about it all day and first thing when I woke up this morning. This is what I wanted to avoid, this kind of worrying, but that is not possible when these kinds of things happen, so I asked, what is the purpose of this and the natural disasters that have been occurring? There is a lot of hype lately about 2012 and the end of the world as we know it. Frankly, I do hope it is the end of the world as we know it now because we have really messed some things up on our planet and changes do need to happen.

This is what I got in answer to my question:

Do not worry. Yes, this is a huge disaster and many beings have and will suffer as a result. Send them your love and light and prayers and thank them for the sacrifice they are making so that we may learn from this very large mistake. This is a lesson for humanity. Out of this disaster, from the very visible suffering of the animals that will be shown, from the destruction of sea life, plants and coastal areas and from the huge pollution to the air that the burning of the oil will cause, great public outcry will occur.

Our connecting point here is our common feeling that this is not right and should never happen again. Our connecting point is the feeling in our hearts that change has to happen. This feeling will well up and fuel great strides in learning as we write to our politicians. It will motivate our scientists and engineers to create new solutions to fix this current problem, but more importantly, it will motivate the scientists and engineers to focus more on alternative and green sources of energy.  This kind of human created disaster and the other natural disasters will stimulate great strides in learning and in the transformation of our consciousness with regards to how we view our living on this earth.

We have become callous toward and ignorant of our impact on our planet and all that she willingly shares with us. We have become cut off from the sacredness of life, of all life. We have a global community now. Through our ability to know about a crisis or disaster anywhere in the world, almost the moment it occurs, we are beginning to recognize the need to eliminate those practices which hurt our earth and hurt us. More and more of us are feeling the need to take action, make noise and express outrage about the mistakes we have made. I say we, because we are complicit, we have allowed these practices to occur so that we could have what we wanted.

We have enough. We have more than we need. We have enough to share with everyone who doesn’t have what they need. It is time to really open our hearts and thinking to everyone and everything within our global community. It’s time to contact your politicians and tell them enough is enough and that these mistakes should never occur again. It is time to support alternative energy research and production. It’s time to support green products.

Then take this opportunity to pray for all the life and creatures that suffer or die as a result of this disaster. Send them all the love you have in your heart and thank them for the deep sacrifice they have made so that we as humanity may learn from this very hard lesson. It’s time to remember that our earth and all life on it is sacred.

When I first started reading, I was confused. Okay, let me back peddle a little.  I am a very literal person. To be honest, sarcasm and jokes often fly right by me, so I’m sure this was a big part of my confusion, but that is not the point I’m intending to make. I thought as I read, “I’ve met this man, he’s very nice, really, does he think this way?” It was not making sense to me.

Here’s the point, I was making judgments. Whether or not it was a joke (whether or not I’m sarcasm challenged), I was making judgments and withdrawing. Okay, I know this blog is called Connecting Point, but this was a disconnect. I withdrew (I could physically feel me emotionally backing up) because I did not understand and I disagreed. It’s not a big deal you might say, it was a joke.

To me it is a big deal because I’ve come to believe that is our judgments that cause the disconnect, the separations between people and countries. Because they are judgments born out of our beliefs, we feel righteous about them. What I’ve also come to learn is that my beliefs were installed by family and community by the time I was seven. I have not much memory at all about what my parents believed at that time or what was going on in the world. I do know that by the time I was more conscious of the world, my inner self disagreed greatly with the beliefs of my parents.

This little post of John’s gave me a gift, the gift of a lesson about my judgments. Grace touched me with an opportunity to learn about my limiting beliefs and how my judgments cause separation, not connection. By the end of my reading of John’s short but very funny post, I was laughing. This is the connecting point. Thanks John!
